EXTREMELY RARE! A full 10 volumes set of the German "Encyclopaedia Judaica", an attempt of the German Jewish intelligentsia to surpass the British publication of the same name. The attempt was cut short by the Nazis` rise to power, and the rare last volume was printed in 1934 in a much smaller number of copies. Numerous colour and black/white pictures and illustrations. [VOLUME 5]: Cloth slightly peeling off front cover, near spine. Spine scratched. [VOLUME 6]: Rear cover leather slightly peeling near spine. [VOLUME 7]: Spine darker than other volumes, quite worn on rear hinge. [VOLUME 8]: Spine faded. Title page missing lower corner (no text missing). Pages IX-XVIII wrinkled on lower corner. [VOLUME 9]: Spine leather mostly missing and tattered.
