RARE fully illustrated catalog of a unique exhibition of Chinese snuff bottles of 19th and 20th centuries, displayed alongside a selection of paintings dating from the Ming dynasty (ca. early 17th century) to the present day, allowing the viewer to trace the past and ongoing development of traditional Chinese painting, disclosing affinity between the past and the present. The exhibition took place 15.03.1998-15.06.1998 in Upper Haft Gallery at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. The show consisted of 95 snuff bottles, 19 hanging scrolls, 1 handscroll, 13 fan paintings, 14 album leaves, 4 paintings, 3 photographs, and 4 other complementary objects. 285x220mm. 223 pages.
