VOLUME TWO ONLY of the RARE critical edition of the original Judeo-Arabic text with English translation of the extant surviving portion of "Kitab Kifāyah al-`Abidin" ("A Comprehensive Guide for the Servants of God") by Abraham ben Moses ben Maimon (also Rabbeinu Avraham ben ha-Rambam, Avraham Maimuni, Abraham Maimon Ha-Nagid) (1186-1237), the only son of the illustrious Moses Maimonides, who succeeded his father as head of the Egyptian Jewish community. The first volume, published in 1927 (as volume 27 of the `Columbia University Oriental Studies` series) contained one-fifth of the text; this second volume, published in 1938, contains the remaining four-fifths of the text. 260x180mm. 441 pages.
