RARE publication of The Treaty of Lausanne - a peace treaty signed in Lausanne, Switzerland on 24 July 1923 which officially ended the state of war that had existed between Turkey and the Allied British Empire, French Republic, Kingdom of Italy, Empire of Japan, Kingdom of Greece, Kingdom of Romania, and Serb-Croat-Slovene State since the onset of World War I. Contains a large color fold-out map. 245x155mm. IV+243 pages. Softcover. Front cover missing. Rear cover detached from binding, wrinkled and tattered (edges and bottom corner partly missing). Spine partly missing. Binding slightly loose. Last page and map partly detached from binding. Edges of pages I-IV (including title page) and page 243 wrinkled/worn. Previous owner`s name written in pen on title page upper edge. Map edges/corners partly wrinkled/worn. Page corners curved, corner/s of few page wrinkled. text block edges and pages yellowing. [SUMMARY]: This extremely rare copy of one of the most important 20th-century historical documents has suffered damage to cover, but is still in good reading condition.
