Simon Cornelis Dik (1940-1995) was a Dutch linguist, most famous for developing the theory of functional grammar. He occupied the chair of General Linguistics at University of Amsterdam between 1969 and 1994 and developed the theory of functional grammar, the foundations for which had been laid in his 1968 dissertation on coordination. Authors include Simon Dik, Gvozdanovich Jadranka, Casper de Groot, Jan de Jong, Judith Junger, Sita Kishna, Josien Lalleman, Kwee Tjoe Liong, Jack Prentice, William D.Davies, Theo M.V.Janssen, J.Lachlan Mackenzie and David M.Perlmutter. 223x147mm. 352 pages.
