Spine bottom edge slightly bumped. Jacket tattered, slightly stained and torn into two. Binding coming loose and visible on inner cover., Small stain, previous owner`s stamp and name written in pencil on front whitepage. Pages yellowing. [SUMMARY]: This extremely rare study of medieval Jewish travelers who engaged in this trade centuries before Marco Polo and ibn Battuta brought their accounts of travels in the Orient to the Christians and the Muslims is in good condition.
