RARE first and only edition a monograph on Jewish rights in Prussia by the eminent German-Jewish historian of law and jurist Ismar Freund (1876-1956), from 1902 to 1938 full-time board member and general counsel of the Jewish Community of Berlin and co-founder of the Prussian Regional Association of Jewish Communities. Since 1905 he was law professor at the Hochschule für die Wissenschaft des Judentums in Berlin. 230x165mm. XVI+401 pages. Quarter-cloth Hardcover. Cover and spine rubbed and stained. Cover corners and spine edges bumped and somewhat worn. Faded pen writing on spine. Ex-libris sticker on front inner cover. Binding upper half slightly loose and visible on front inner cover. Dedication written in ink (possibly by author) on title page. Ex-library copy with stamp on title page verso, page 1, bottom edge of pages 273, 337, 378, and page 401 - NO damage to text. Text block edges yellowing and dirty. Several extreme pages slightly age-stained. Pages yellowing. [SUMMARY]: This extremely rare book on the rights of Prussian Jewry by the leading authority in the field is otherwise in good condition.
