The book contains 2 full-size portraits of distinguished Chilean historical figures (Valdivieso and Cochrane) and numerous b&w engravings. 210x290mm. IX+495 pages. Original quarter-leather embossed gilt Hardcover. Page edges gilt. Cover corners and edges worn and partly peeling. Spine worn, slightly loose, edges worn. Front and rear inner cover taped. Binding somewhat loose. Ex-libris sticker (Itiel Pann) on front inner cover upper corner. Front whitepage missing (book starts with title page). Library stamp on title page. Title page slightly wrinkled and dirty. Page V torn, edge taped. Pages IX-176 almost detached from binding. Some page edges worn and/or dirty. Pages yellowing and slightly age-stained. Pages slightly yellowing, some pages age-stained.
