EXTREMELY RARE Machzor (Jewish festive prayer book) written in mid-18th century Amsterdam. The book features the Ashkenazi prayers for the holidays written in the handsome Amsterdam type face, and features two commentaries. 225x175mm. 142+170 double pages. Rebound in green cloth hardcover with gilt lettering on spine. Cover slightly worn. Ex libris sticker on endpaper. Library stamps on whitepage and rear endpaper. Title page missing. Few pages torn at several places. Most pages upper edge cut - most headlines missing. Pages missing beginning from page 142 of the second part. Pages yellowing, with few aging stains. [SUMMARY]: This 250 year old Jewish prayer book is otherwise in good reading condition.
