EXTREMELY RARE book of photographs by Polish-born Jewish photographer Yaakov Benor-Kalter, who documented the Jewish settlement of Palestine during the 1920s and 1930s. This book features 20 b&w photographs of Jewish workers in construction, industry and agriculture, in a style that is greatly influenced by Soviet photography. The title page carries the personal dedication of Daniel Benor-Kalter, the author`s son. 250x215mm. Unpaginated. Quarter-cloth Hardcover with embossed lettering on front. Cover slightly worn and dirty. Cover and pages upper corner bumped. Spine bottom edge peeling, upper edge missing. Pages wavy and slightly yellowing. [SUMMARY]: Save for some light external wear, this rare photographic album is in very good condition.
