Original cover (stained, upper edge tattered) pasted on front cover. Ex-library copy with stamp on title and several other pages. Pages bottom corner wrinkled and bent. Pages bottom edge either water-stained or worn - no damage to text. Few pages upper corner worn and slightly bent. Small wormhole on pages 127-166 bottom edge - no damage to text. Pages creased/wavy in the middle. Pages yellowing and slightly age-stained. [SUMMARY]: This fascinating historical-statistical study of 19th-century Jews in German and other armies, has suffered some damage, but the inside of the book is preserved very well; accordingly this extremely rare book is still in good reading condition
