Quarter-leather marbled board Hardcover. Gilt spine. Text block edges stained. Cover and spine worn, curved and stained. Cover corners and edges bumped and worn. Spine edges bumped. Small hole on spine front hinge. Ex-library copy with stamp on pre-title page. Inner cover, pre-title and title pages, and some pages water-stained. Blue pencil marks on first seventeen pages. Pages yellowing and wavy. [SUMMARY]: This extremely rare edition of a classic history of the Church by an eminent 18th-century historian has sustained some damage, but is otherwise is in good reading condition.
