SIGNED BY COMPOSER with DEDICATION dated March 1986 to the renowned Israeli conductor Uri Segal (b.1944), who, among his other posts, founded in 1990 the Century Orchestra in Osaka, Japan, and was its chief conductor through 1998, subsequently becoming the its Laureate Conductor. RARE orchestral score of Symphony No.3, titled "EgoPhano", composed in 1984 by the eminent Japanese composer of contemporary classical music Shin-ichiro Ikebe (b.1943), also renowned for the scores for many films by Akira Kurosawa and other Japanese film directors (Kurosawa`s `Kagemusha`, `Dreams`, `Rhapsody in August`, `Madadayo`; Masahiro Shinoda`s `MacArthur`s Children`, Shohei Imamura`s `Warm Water Under a Red Bridge`). The symphony was commissioned by the Nihon Symphony Foundation, and premiered on May 25, 1984 by the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Michiyoshi Inoue, in Tokyo Bunka Kaikan. 360x260mm. 79 pages. Softcover. Cover slightly rubbed and slightly wrinkled. Cover corners and spine wrinkled. Spine edges and hinges rubbed. Composer`s signed dedication on front inner cover. [SUMMARY]: This extremely rare orchestral score of a symphony by an important contemporary Japanese, signed with dedication to an Israeli eminent conductor, is in good condition.
