RARE comprehensive monograph on Zhang Daqian or Chang Dai-chien (1899-1983), one of the best-known and most prodigious 20th-century Chinese artists, originally known as a traditionalist painter, and by the 1960s also renowned as a modern impressionist and expressionist painter. In addition, he is regarded as one of 20th-century most gifted master forgers. 310x235mm. 328 pages. Blue cloth Hardcover with illustrated dust-jacket. JAcket edges and corners bumped/wrinkled.
