SIGNED BY RIFKA AARONSOHN with DEDICATION to N.Bentwich, dated 30.12.1957 Rebecca Feinberg-Aaronsohn (Rifka; Rivka) (1892-1981), Aaron Aharonsohn`s sister, was one of the founders and leaders of the Nili spy organization, and the fiancée of Avshalom Feinberg (1889-1917). The dedicatee - Norman Bentwich, is a British Zionist, barrister and legal academic, who was the British-appointed attorney-general of Mandatory Palestine. The author - Aaron Aaronsohn (1876-1919), was an eminent Jewish agronomist, botanist, and Zionist activist, who was born in Romania and lived most of his life in the Land of Israel, then part of the Ottoman Empire. He is known as the discoverer of emmer (Triticum dicoccoides), believed to be `the mother of wheat`. Contains many color and b&w plates, fold-out maps and figures.
