Kästner`s signature is dated 18.6.53. Jacket illustration designed by the German-Jewish illustrator Walter Trier (1890-1951), best known for his work for the children`s books of Erich Kästner and the covers of the magazine `Lilliput`, as well the periodicals `Simplicissimus`, `Jugend` and `Berliner Illustrirte Zeitung`. 190x145mm. 224 pages.Blue cloth Hardcover with illustrated dust-jacket.
