SIGNED BY MAX BROD (1884-1968) - an eminent German-speaking Jewish Czech, later Israeli, author, composer, and journalist. Although Brod was a prolific writer in his own right, he is most famous as the friend and biographer of Franz Kafka, as well as the one who, after the Kafka`s death, saved the latter`s manuscripts from being destroyed and promoted them. 195x130mm. 298 pages. Blacl cloth Hardcover with illustrated dust-jacket. Gilt front cover and spine. Jacket yellowing, worn and partly torn. Cover and spine edges slightly stained. Cover corners and bottom edge, and spine bottom edge slightly bumped. Text-block edges and whitepages age-stained. Author`s signature on title-page. Pages slightly yellowing. [SUMMARY]: This rare book, signed by Kafka`s friend and literary executor is in good condition.
