RARE personal account of experiences in Kraków and Lvov during the Holocaust by a survivor who emigrated to the U.S. in 1947. The account begins in March 1943, when the Jews of Kraków were sent to the nearby Plaszów labor camp where many of them died from beatings, or were shot or hanged. In the autumn of 1944, transports to Auschwitz began and in January 1945 the few remaining camp inmates were transferred to numerous concentration camps. 215x140mm. XIV+143 pages. Hardcover with dust-jacket. Still wrapped in plastic, this extremely rare book is in as new condition!
