RARE English edition monograph on the development of a new method of working with glass by an eminent Irish structural engineer Peter Rice (1935-1992), who worked on the design of some of the most important 20th century architectural works, such as the Sydney Opera House (with Ove Arup), Pompidou Centre, the Lloyd`s Building in London, Kansai and Stansted Airports, and was renowned for his innate ability to act as both engineer and designer. This second edition has been translated from the French second edition, and brought up and expanded by the British architect Hugh Dutton (b.1957). Contains numerous color and b&w photographs, working drawings and plans. 280x250mm. 144 pages. Softcover with dust-jacket. Jacket rubbed. Jacket edges/corners slightly wrinkled. Small price sticker on jacket rear side. Cover corners and spine edges slightly wrinkled.
