RARE orchestral score of a concerto for violoncello and orchestra titled "Almost a Tree" written by the eminent Japanese composer of contemporary classical music Shin-ichiro Ikebe (b.1943), also renowned for the scores for many films by Akira Kurosawa and other Japanese film directors (Kurosawa`s `Kagemusha`, `Dreams`, `Rhapsody in August`, `Madadayo`; Masahiro Shinoda`s `MacArthur`s Children`, Shohei Imamura`s `Warm Water Under a Red Bridge`). The concerto was written in 1996 for the Cencury Orchestra Osaka who gave the commission and the first performance. 360x260 mm. 45 pages. Softcover. Cover rubbed and slightly wrinkled. Cover and pages upper corner wrinkled. [SUMMARY]: This extremely rare orchestral score of a symphony by an important contemporary Japanese composer is in good condition.
