EXTREMELY RARE alphabetically ordered lexicon of the Accadian prayers in expiation rituals in phonetic (Latin letters) transcription, with English introduction and explanations, a systematic arrangement of the grammatical forms and brief notes on the etymology of the words. Cecil James Mullo Weir (1897-1995) was a Scottish academic and theologian, Professor of Hebrew and Semitic Languages at the University of Glasgow from 1937 until 1968. 135x190mm. XIX+411 pages. Blue Hardcover with gilt spine. Cover rubbed and slightly stained. Cover edges and corners slightly bumped. Cover corners peeling. Spine yellowing and rubbed. Spine edges bumped and partly torn. Spine hinges and middle taped with black tape. Binding slightly visible on front inner cover. Pen mark on the first white page upper edge. Pages yellowing and slightly wavy. [SUMMARY]: This extremely rare lexicon of Accadian prayers is otherwise in good condition.
