This book includes an assortment of mostly color and some b&w reproductions of paintings and sketches by the Brazilian painter Augusto Rodrigues (1913-1993), as well as several b&w photographs of Rodrigues in his private surroundings. In addition to that there are several annotations to his work. 246x310mm. 134 pages. White cloth Hardcover with gilt lettering on front cover and spine. Front cover illustrated with a side view of a woman`s face probably painted by Rodrigues himself in black and magenta paint. The texture of the cloth on which it is painted, affects the visual elegance of the picture and lends it even more grace. Includes a transparent nylon dustjacket that unveils the uncommon cover. Also includes a separate page with descriptions to the photos. Rear cover lightly stained. Cover corners very lightly worn. Spine edges slightly bumped. All pages and plates are completely clean and in great condition. This rare and indeed uncommon and wonderful work of admiration to Rodrigues is in very good condition. [FREE BONUS]: Also includes a loose booklet with the itinerary of Prof. Zoe Noronha Freitas, wife of the Governor of the State of Rio de Janeiro, on her visit to Israel in 1982. This book may have been given to her as a gift upon that visit.
