RARE album of 32 lively croquis drawings (quick pencil sketches) reproductions of the renowned French artist Bernard Naudin, depicting French soldiers in the bloody battlefields of the first World War, mainly from the front in Aisne. The book was published in October 1915, in the midst of the ongoing war. 320x260mm. 32 plates. Folder format - no binding. Blue board Hardcover tied with string. Cover slightly stained, bottom corners slightly worn. Spine peeling, hinges cracked. Few agestains on inner cover. Whitepage partially detached, with pencil inscriptions. In spite of the damage to the cover, the 32 reproductions - a real treasure for any enthusiast of the Great War - are in very good condition.
