RARE book on the collection of Hebrew bullae (clay seals) from the Kaufman collection, the largest and the most important to be published to date. The collection consists of 516 bullae, all Hebrew except for nos. 89 and 419, impressed by 421 different seals, with 95 duplicates (only 26 were previously published, the other 491 are published here for the first time). Contains 421 color and b&w plates, and b&w plate with the ancient Hebrew alphabet at the end of the book (page 453). 275x210mm. 452 pages (+1). Orange cloth Hardcover with dust-jacket. Gilt lettering on front cover and spine. This extremely rare monograph, presenting one of the biggest collections of Hebrew bullae, is in very good condition.
