RARE collection of political articles and works of literature and literary criticism, collected by the Zionist leader Moshe Yosef Glikson. The book was published to illuminate issues within the Zionist movement following the Balfour declaration and the British conquest of Palestine. The book contains works by prominent writers and thinkers such as Joseph Klausner, Chaim Nachman Bialik, Shaul Tchernichovsky, Droyanov, Fichman and numerous others. The book is decorated with beautiful woodcuts of trees, landscape, and floral decorations by an unfamiliar artist called Jacob Yifter (or Yipter). 230x180mm. 672 pages. Blue cloth Hardcover. Cover slightly stained and scratched. Cover edges bumped. Spine detached from front cover. Spine edges bumped, tattared and peeling. Binding slightly loose. Whitepage detached.
