RARE commentary volume, IN SPANISH, on the paleography and history of an illuminated codex created between 1109 and 1112 at the Cathedral of Oviedo, Spain, under the patronage of Bishop Don Pelayo. Contains transcription and translation of the texts. The codex, which collected the texts of documents from Asturian kings, was illustrated with miniatures considered to be among the finest examples of Spanish Romanesque illuminated manuscripts.
