Pages 231-240 partly detached from binding. Small ink inscription on rear whitepage upper edge/corner. Edges/corners of title page, preface and first map pages worn. Rear whitepage stained. Half of fold-out map MISSING! Pages 65-69 and 107-110 wrinkled. Several last pages slightly stained - NO damage to text or plates. Pages yellowing, wavy and age-stained. [SUMMARY]: This extremely rare classic account which formed a substantial contribution to geography and ethnology is overall in fair condition.
