Grey cloth Hardcover with lettering on front cover and spine. Cover and spine very stained. Cover corners bumped and peeling. Cover edges bumped. Tape residues on cover edges near spine. Spine partly torn. Spine edges tattered. Binding coming loose (binding broken between many pages, but still holding on several binding threads). Text block edges and inner cover age-stained. Front endpaper upper corner torn. Some page edges worn - NO damage to plates or text. Josef Israels portrait detached from binding; edges/corners worn - NO damage to plate. Page 93 bottom edge slightly torn - NO damage to plate. Some pages slightly age-stained. Pages yellowing.
