RARE first report on the Jewish inscriptions of Hungary from Roman era, through the Middle Ages and up to the Turkish occupation. The 154 inscriptions are all given in translation and are richly documented with photographs, along with an extensive introduction on the internal and external history of each period, as well as notes which throw light upon the origin and distribution of names used by Jews.
