This copy bears the signature of its` previous owner`s - Israel Gutman (1923-2013), an eminent Polish-born Israeli historian and a survivor of the Holocaust who was professor of history at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, deputy chairman of the International Auschwitz Council at Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation, and editor-in-chief of the Encyclopedia of the Holocaust. At Yad Vashem he served at different times as head of the International Institute for Holocaust Research, Chief Historian, and the Academic Advisor, and also an advisor to the Polish government on Jewish Affairs, Judaism and Holocaust Commemoration. 275x210mm.
