Original Hardcover with gilt lettering and gilt/green decorations on cover and spine. Text block upper edge gilt. Gilt fading. Cover slightly worn and somewhat stained. Spine edges and cover corners bumped and worn. Title page and first few pages detached from binding (but present). Inner cover has ink inscription, as well as calligraphy dedication on opposite whitepage, 1917. Frontispiece, title page and preface loose. Some pages mildly age-stained. Pages slightly yellowing and rough-cut as published.[SUMMARY]: This beautifully illustrated book on the Holy Land is otherwise in good condition.
