Text block upper edge dyed deep red. Marbled endpapers. Includes book mark ribbon. Covers slightly dirty. Cover corners and edges slightly worn. Spine bottom edge worn. Upper page edges stained - the dyeing appears dirty. Several small pencil marks on whitepage. Several pages slightly age-stained and slightly tattered near edges - NO damage to text. Plates and folding maps slightly yellowing, some slightly age-stained, but otherwise in good condition. One folding map upper right edge slightly tattered. Pages slightly wavy and yellowing. [VOL.I]: Cover hinges mildly worn. Ex libris sticker on front inner cover upper corner. Corners of two last pages dirty. Egypt map edges creased. [VOL.II]: Front cover detached, rear cover almost detached from binding. [SUMMARY]: This attractively-made classic travel book in two volumes has sustained some external damage, but is still in good condition for its age.
