RARE third printing of an extensive commentary on "Perek Shira", a lyrical Midrash that is traditionally attributed to King David. The commentary was written by Russian Talmudist Hanoch Zundel. It was first printed in Krotoschin in the year 1842, then in Pressburg, and then (this copy) in Warsaw. The title page contains a stamp by Yitzhak Funk [Funch], a publisher from Vilnius. 245x185mm. 254 pages. Hardcover rebound with brown leather spine. Cover worn, wrinkled and stained. Front cover partly peeling. Cover corners and edges worn and peeling. Spine heavily rubbed. Spine upper edge peeling and torn. Spine front hinge bottom edge torn. Inner cover worn and stained. Rear whitepage edges tattered. Rear whitepage creased. Binding loose and visible between inner cover and whitepages. Pen inscriptions on title-page. Page 239/240 partly torn.
