RARE TWO BOOKS BOUND TOGETHER. `HaTekufah HaGedolah` (The Great Era) is a treatise explaining the meaning of our times according to Judaism, written by Menachem Mendel Kasher (1895-1983) - an influential Polish-born Israeli rabbi and prolific author known for his encyclopedic work on the Torah entitled Torah Sheleimah. "Kol HaTor" is an esoteric text that describes the 999 footsteps of the Messiah`s arrival, written by Hillel Rivlin of Shklov (1758-1838), a close disciple of the Vilna Gaon, who, along with some of Gaon`s other pupils is credited with having revitalized the Ashkenazi community in what is now Israel (then the Ottoman province of Palestine), by immigrating to Jerusalem in 1809. 24.5x18cm. 426 pages.
