RARE critical edition of an influential early treatise on Hebrew grammar and Masoretic Text by Aaron ben Moses ben Asher (died c.960) - "Sefer Dikdukei ha-Te`amim" (Grammar or Analysis of the Accents). Ben Asher was an eminent Jewish scribe from Tiberias in northern Israel who refined the Tiberian system of writing vowel sounds in Hebrew. Ben Asher is regarded by Jews of all streams as having produced the most accurate version of the Masoretic Text of the Tanakh. This edition contains extensive appendices with notes and commentaries by Aron Dotan (Deutscher, b.1928), Professor Emeritus at Tel Aviv University. Contains facsimile from manuscripts.
