RARE collection of b&w sketches by one of the three Jewish officers who during WW2 were taken prisoners in Greece - Shimon Hacohen, the son of the acclaimed Hebrew writer and Zionist Mordechai ben Hillel Hacohen (1856-1936). 320x230mm. 62 pages [+4]. Illustrated Softcover with spiral binding. Cover and spine yellowing and stained. Cover edges near spine, spine and spine hinges water-stained. Cover corners and edges bumped and worn. Spine tattered. Small pieces of spine missing. Stamp on page 37 verso - NO damage to plate. Some pages bottom edge and bottom left corner water-stained - NO damage to plates. Some pages bottom left corner water-stained - NO damage to plates. Several pages slightly age-stained. [SUMMARY]: This extremely rare album of war sketches is otherwise in good condition.
