Apart from his Jewish scholarship, Kaplan was also a lecturer at l`Institut d`Etudes Politiques, a member of the Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques in Paris and was known for his openness to dialogue with the Christian churches of France and for his staunch support of Zionism. He spoke out during World War II against anti-Jewish measures adopted by the collaborationist Vichy Government and openly proclaimed French Jewry`s solidarity with the State of Israel during the period of the Six-Day War and after, when French official policy was hostile to Israel. 185x120mm. 267 pages.
