RARE illustrated memoirs of Adolphe Léon Willette (1857-1926), the renowned French painter, illustrator, caricaturist, and lithographer, as well as an architect of the famous Moulin Rouge cabaret and a candidate for the French Anti-Semitic Party. Willette appeared in the French press also under the pseudonyms "Cemoi", "Pierrot", "Louison", "Bebe", and "Nox". The book features several color plates and numerous b&w illustrations. 1.6 KG. 275x210mm. 183 pages. Marbled quarter-leather Hardcover with gilt lettering on spine. Cover worn and slightly stained. Cover edges peeling. Spine slightly worn. Frontispiece and rear whitepage detached. Some page edges worn. Pages yellowing and rough-cut (as published). [SUMMARY]; Save for some external wear, the book is in good condition.
