Description
RARE THREE VOLUME SET -first three volumes of `Miscellanea Eblaitica`, an annual publication dedicated completely to Eblaite studies, published under the direction of Pelio Fronzaroili, the preeminent authority on Ebla and Eblaite language. Ebla was an ancient Near-Eastern city-state, famous for an archive of 20000 cuneiform tablets found there, dated from around 2250 BC and written in Sumerian script. The Eblaite language is a previously unknown Semitic language that is now thought to be the earliest attested Semitic language after the closely related Akkadian. Volume 3 contains a single study by Giovanni Conti - `Il Sillabario della Quarta Fonte della Lista Lessicale Bilingue Eblaita` in two parts (sillabario & glossario). [ALL VOLUMES]: 240x170mm. [277]+[201]+[220] pages. Softcover. [VOL.1]: Rear cover and some pages bottom corner wavy. Spine yellowing. [VOL.2]: Front cover bottom corner slightly worn. Cover upper edge slightly bumped. [VOL.3]: Cover and some pages upper corner slightly bumped. [SUMMARY]: This rare 3 volume set of studies on Ebla and its language is in very good condition.
